The Air TV Repo

I have had some off the wall customers over the years, this is a story of one of my craziest customers. This guy lived in apartment complex and they had allot of security set up to protect the tenets, it was in a very rough neighborhood. The customer had a TV and DVD/player. I had to run this guy all the time the problem was I could hardly ever get to the door of his apartment. This apartment setup had the doors you had to get buzzed in to just get within the hallway, what I would do is wait till someone would come in or out then run in. The other notable fact was this man was crazy, he would yell all kind of nasty stuff out the 2nd story window at me calling me all kind of names. This day he was very late on his rentals he was over 5 payments past due and I had been going by for about 3 weeks without a reply. I pulled up to the apt building and I saw he has his blinds up, this was where he could see if I pulled up, so I parked down a bit and walked up to the apartment building when I got to the door and waited only about five minutes before some one went in and so did I. when I got to his door I heard music playing , so I started knocking as I knocked the music got louder and so did my knocking, after about ten minutes I was getting ready to leave I heard "What do you Want" I told him I needed to get the account up to date or get return of the units. The guy started yelling at the top of his lungs, nobody was going to get anything out of his house! After about ten minutes without any further response I knocked again he asked again" What do you want!" told him the same thing, I kept knocking after he wouldn't respond to me. Then after about 5 minutes of knocking he came back to the door and said through the door" I have a gun and I will shoot you through the door" so I moved to the right of the door and started knocking again this went on for a long while without any response from him. I yelled trough the door that I was going to get further authorities involved if he refused to return the units, then yelled go ahead do what you want as I said "You will not take anything out of my house! I knew it was time to get this merchandise from this guy he was talking about shooting me and it was very clear he wasn't going to pay. I went back down stairs and got to a phone and called my police friend and went over what was going on. We knew he couldn't just come out and act like he had a court order to get the merchandise, so we came up with a plan where he pulls up in front of the apartment building in his car and I tell the customer he can deal with me or the police! Simple right "Wrong" as you continue to read my stories you will see that me simple plans never seem to turn out so Simple! This was to be easy as I saw it, so I got to house about 4pm the next day and I saw his blinds where open so I was pretty sure he was in the house. I had to wait a bit before some one came out, I ran in and went to his door upstairs.I started knocking again he waited till I had been out in the hallway for 15 minutes then he asked" What do you want now?" I told him the plan, I needed the merchandise now or he could with the police who are here waiting on my decision, I said deal with me or deal with the police! He waited for a few minutes and came back to the door and told me this" You and that cop can kiss my aSS! I knocked a few minutes more then went back down stairs to the cop friend of mine and told him what he said. My friend was laughing and said, he is a tough jerk wasn't he? I was telling him I guess I would need to file on him for real to get my items back. We were talking when I heard a guy yelling , hey @stole you still want your TV? I looked up and seen my customer with his window up , I yelled back up to him" Yes" He said ok give me a minute. I was thinking it must of worked now he was getting nervous and decided to return the items. I looked at my cop friend and then I went over to the door and waited to be buzzed in. I was standing at the door when my friend said Hey! I turned and walked toward him and I heard a large crash and jumped back and when I looked there was a TV busted on the pavement, I went out and looked up and my customer was standing at the window with a DVD player in his hands! I yelled about the time he dropped it and it busted. I looked at my cop friend and he was laughing so hard I thought he was going to piss his pants, I said do something @sshole! he said what do you want me to do? The jerk was correct both items had been busted already. I said how about trying to kill someone with this stuff, he yelled up to the guy that he would needed to come down he was going to get a ticket or worse! My customer said no problem, then said hey "you" talking to me, I said "what?"! The guy said don't forget the remotes and threw the damn things at me! I picked up what I could use to show my manager that the fool really did this. My police friend did give him a ticket for endangerment of pedestrians and littering. I was told that I would have to sue him for the damage. Like I said in the Rent-To-Own business you meet the craziest people!
